4-H offers youth the opportunity to participate in a variety of animal projects.  This year Simpson County 4-H will pilot a new club for youth wanting to learning more about animals whose fibers are harvested for clothing (alpacas, sheep, & rabbits).  Larry & Julia Brown own Feathers & Friends Alpaca farm in Simpson County and are excited to lead this new club.  Learning opportunities might include several trips to their farm to learn about the alpaca industry, a trip to a nearby mill where the animal fibers are processed for clothing, and to an alpaca show.
